The Problem
To accommodate the functionality to tailors there was a need to manage formidable fields along with fabric details and paginations. The intended plugin required login functionality to take up details for shirt tailoring work. The workout was expected for sliders as well to redirect them to the fabrics categories for a user to select the suitable fabric of their choice. This plugin was intended to have eCommerce-based functionalities like shipping, coupon options along with currency preference during the checkout by a user. We worked upon configuring order summary details which will display during the order placed by a user. The work does not end here, there was a requirement for Merchant and Customer email templates that could increase the retention rate for a tailoring business.
The Solution
To meet the requirements from the client side we create the predefined form using formidable. Furthermore, we designed a login page and added it in the general option of the plugin to provide authentication to the users. We were able to manage all fabric details using CPT and options for displaying fabrics per page. To simplify the user-interface we added pagination functionality using jQuery along with the fabric popup slider using AJAX. Since, this was an eCommerce plugin we added shipping, a coupon using jQuery, Ajax and applied logics to the selected options checkout page. We wanted to display all fabrics using the fabric category and either way display selected fabrics through pagination on selected categories. To email the invoice, discounts and other notifications we added the “Email” option for Merchants and to resolve issues or ask a query we also facilitated the “Email” option for Customers as well.
